"Do not be afraid of Christ! Trust him completely! He alone 'has the words of eternal life.' Christ never lets us down!" – Pope John Paul II, Poznan, Poland

"Dear friends, truth is not an imposition. Nor is it simply a set of rules. I t is a discovery of the One who never fails us; the One whom we can always trust. In seeking truth we come to live by belief because ultimately truth is a person: Jesus Christ. That is why authentic freedom is not an opting out. It is an opting in; nothing less than letting go of self and allowing oneself to be drawn into Christ's very being for others (cf. Spe Salvi, 28)". (John Paul II – Meeting with young people, USA, 2008)

"Dear young people, proclaiming the Word of God is not the responsibility of priests or religious alone, but it is yours too. You must have the courage to speak about Christ in your families and in places where you study, work or recreate... There are places and circumstances where you alone can bring the seed of God's Word." – Pope John Paul II, World Youth Day VII

The National Catholic Youth Conference, frequently referred to as NCYC, is a three day event for Roman Catholic youth. NCYC is held in U.S. cities every two years and is organized in part by the host diocese of the city.

During the conference, the Liturgy is celebrated and there is music, opportunities for prayer and several different workshops.

There are also concerts, dances, and a comedy club at NCYC. The thematic park is an area set up with interactive educational and recreational activities, as well as traditional exhibits and vendor booths.

The conference now attracts over 20,000 youth and adults for three days of worship, music, and fun.

Breath into me Holy Spirit, that my thoughts may all be holy. Move in me, Holy Spirit, that my work too, may be holy. Attract my heart, Holy Spirit, that I may love only what is holy. Strengthen me, Holy Spirit, that I may defend all that is holy. Protect me, Holy Spirit, that I always may be holy.
