This one-day conference will focus on getting closer to our Lord so that we can be transformed: "Therefore, if anyone is joined to Christ, that person will be a new creation. The old-self is gone, and a new-self emerges (2 Corinthians 5:17)" There is no charge for this event, however a "Love Offering" will be collected to cover expenses.
Jesse Manibusan is a singer, songwriter, catechist, storyteller, humorist and evangelizer. Well recognized throughout the country as a dynamic speaker and musician, Jesse shares from his heart the love of Christ and the call to live out our baptism in every aspect of life. He holds a master's in multicultural ministries from the Franciscan School of Theology in Berkeley, California. Jesse is a familiar presence at national and diocesan conferences throughout the US, including the Los Angeles Religious Education Congress, the National Catholic Youth Conference (NCYC), World Youth Day, and many others. A true road warrior, Jesse does ministry full-time; traveling the globe to present parish missions, concerts, retreats, keynotes and youth conferences. (More information on the flip side.)
Linda Schubert wrote the book the, "Miracle Hour. Her "Miracles of the Heart Ministries" is dedicated to awakening Christians to the restorative power of God's love. Through the guidance of the Holy Spirit, Linda Schubert's goal is to provide resources that will bring healing and hope as we "...grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ... (2 Peter 3:18)."
Fr. Joe Kim is a priest of the Diocese of San Jose, California and emeritus-Director of Evangelization, and is currently assigned as the Diocesan Director of Vocations and Director of Evangelization. Fr Joe has been part of the 3-year diocesan effort to address the changing demographics of our faithful in our diocese, especially with respect to the young people in the Catholic Church. He is currently a candidate for a Sacred Theology Licentiate from the Pontifical University of St Thomas Aquinas with a focus on the New Evangelization.
Fr. Thierry Geris is a priest for the Diocese of San Jose. He was ordained in 2009 after working in the technology industry for many years. He has served at St. Cyprian Parish in Sunnyvale for the last 5 years. He will speak about his spiritual journey to the priesthood, his experience of illness and recovery, and his work for social justice, which together have brought him closer to Christ.
Rose Payán, Ph.D. is a gifted praise and worship leader and bible teacher whose desire is to lead many into a deeper intimacy with Jesus Christ. The Holy Spirit works through Rose in profoundly simple and often surprising ways. She has been active in Catholic renewal ministries in the Northern California area for over 30 years where she has assisted many ministries including the Northern California Catholic Charismatic Conference.
Dr. Jaime and Rosina Galindo have been presenting forgiveness workshops for over 30 years and are founders of "Godsent Music Ministry." Rosina's family has been blessed and honored by the canonization of their uncle who participated in the "Cristeros Rebellion Era; 1926-1929. The saint's name is St. Rafael Guizar y Valencia.
